Halibut Steak Tacos with Chipotle Mayonnaise

Ingredients

World Port Seafood Halibut Steaks

  • 8 2 oz. strips of Halibut Steaks
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 1 cup chipotle mayonnaise
  • 2 cups green cabbage finely shredded
  • 1 cup pico de gallo
  • 8 lime wedges
  • 8 cilantro sprigs

Chipotle Mayo

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. canned chipotle Chile in Adobo sauce pureed
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt

Pico De Gallo

  • 2 cups small roma tomatoes diced
  • 1/2 cup white onion diced
  • 3 Tbsp. cilantro finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. jalapenos finely minced (include seeds)
  • 1 Tbsp. lime juice fresh squeezed
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt

Instructions

World Port Seafood Halibut Steaks

  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat (approx. 375° F)
  • Season World Port Seafood Halibut Steaks as desired.
  • Warm tortillas on grill or in microwave.
  • Spoon 1-2 Tbsp. of Chipotle Mayo down center of each tortilla
  • Sprinkle 1/4 cup shredded cabbage down center of tortilla over the mayo.
  • Top cabbage with strip of grilled World Port Seafood Halibut Steak.
  • Add pico de gallo and fold taco.
  • Arrange tacos on hot plate to help them retain their heat.
  • Garnish tacos with lime wedges and cilantro sprigs. Encourage your guests to squeeze a lime wedge over each taco before eating.

Chipotle Mayo

  • Combine all ingredients and mix well.

Pico De Gallo

  • Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well.
