Description

Cooking salmon fillets on a wood plank creates big smoky flavor in a way that plain grilling or oven-baking simply can't - and these unique fillets make it easy! World Port Seafood chefs have figured out how to deliver that premium seafood experience to you at home, with incredible freezer-to-oven (or grill) convenience. Here's how:

The Wood Plank:
Salmon fillets are frozen on a high-quality food-safe alderwood plank. You cook it straight on this plank - just take it out of the freezer, unwrapand place on your grill or in your oven. As it gets hot, the plank begins to blacken, infusing the salmon fillets with the sweet, smoky flavor of alder. These planks are even pre-soaked before they're plated and frozen, so they won't cause fiery flare-ups while you cook.

The Salmon:
Each beautifully colored, high-quality salmon fillet is prepared by hand for an excellent cooking and eating experience, then marinated in extra-virgin olive oil and seasoned with sea salt and black pepper. They'researed on the outside to add great flavor and color, and then they're carefully placed and frozen on the wood plank.

The Process:
All that's left for you to do is take them out of the freezer and cook. In 15-20 minutes on the grill or 30-35 minutes in the oven, you're serving beautiful, flavorful, healthful gourmet wood-planked salmon fillets.

Conventional Oven:
From Frozen/Thawed
Preheat oven to 375°.
Remove planked salmon from pouch and place on foil lined baking sheet. Place on middle rack of preheated oven for 20-25 minutes if thawed, 35-40 minutes if frozen or until internal temperature reaches 145° F and fish flakes easily.


Grill:
From Frozen/Thawed
Preheat grill to medium-high or 375°.
Remove planked salmon from pouch and place on grill on indirect heat. Have a spray bottle of water in case of flare ups. Grill for 15-20 minutes if thawed, 20-25 minutes if frozen or until internal temperature reaches 145° F and fish flakes easily.
